Mark Field, the director of invention at Trinity Mirror, is set to head up News UK’s new branded content division The Bridge Studios.
Reporting into the chief commercial officer Dominic Carter, Mark will run the new division which aims to bring together all of News UK’s work in content creation for brands, including creative, data, insight and events. Dominic recently set up The Bridge Studios as part of a wider overhaul of the group’s commercial operation (which in its totality has been renamed The Bridge) moving the business from that of vendor to partner for advertisers.
Mark’s role at Trinity Mirror saw him found and lead the Invention team which focuses on branded content and sponsorship, particularly online and in mobile. He has been with the publisher since 2005.
Mark has a solid background in print and publishing having worked previously at The Sun and The Times at the start of his career, followed by stints at both Emap and Mindshare, holding the position of Business Director, Press at the latter.
