Harwood and Goldsmith create double headlines at the Guardian

Guardian News & Media has appointed Tania Harwood, previously group client director at Initiative, and Andrew Goldsmith, previously sales director at Primesight, to the new role of business partners reporting into the company’s UK commercial director, Nick Hewat.

Harwood will be responsible for the multidisciplinary team working with Group M while Goldsmith will lead the group working with Omnicom and Denstu Aegis Network.

GNM’s chief revenue officer Hamish Nicklin restructured the publisher’s commercial team after joining in June this year. As part of the changes, Nicklin brought the division together in varied teams working together with specific agency groups.

During Tania’s time at the Interpublic agency, she led relationships with its major clients and pitches, including Travelodge, Mothercare and Harley-Davidson. Tania started her career at J Walter Thompson and CDP’s media department, followed by a 12 year stint at OMD – she will take up her new role in January 2017.

Andrew was promoted to the position of sales director at Primesight in June last year. He joined the outdoor business in 2014 having started his career at in magazines at Dennis Publishing and IPC Media (now Time Inc) before moving to Global Radio. Andrew will take up his new role in February 2017.

Tania and Andrew will be joined as business partners by Tom Crichton of Mediavest who also joins in February 2017.
