Having spent the first 20 years of my life planning to be a ballerina (and sometimes a weather girl!) I got serious and graduated with a BA Hons in Media and Cultural Studies and then moved to London in 2002 to start my professional career. I was instantly attracted the vibrancy and pace of London life and couldn’t wait to be part of it.

I started work at Foxtons as a PA in the busy Islington office; it was a great first job. It was fast, energetic and extremely social. Working as a PA to the Sales Manager and sales team of 15 sales negotiators I developed a practical and organised approach to my workday responsibilities and realised that being a PA was something I was good at.

After an enjoyable 18 months, (and lots of new friends) I was asked to join a start-up company called New Space Investments which was the vision of 2 ex-Foxtons employees and the company sold new build investment property off-plan. Being part of start-up company was a great experience; the feeling that I was part of a team building the foundations for success was very rewarding. They wanted someone to devise and implement new systems and streamline procedures whilst supporting the team of 6 as their PA both professionally and privately. Every day was different I was learning so much, creating processes, researching and basically helping the team start and develop the best practices whilst starting from the ground. Nearly 4 years later I felt like my work with New Space was done and my goals there had been achieved.

As soon as I met Kathleen I knew I wanted to be part of the Lighthouse team. I felt the passion, the drive and the strong team ambition, Kathleen’s energy was infectious! The company ethic was exactly right for me and I wanted to be an important part of the trademark bespoke service (for which The Lighthouse are known) ensuring a smooth and safe path for all our clients and candidates on their professional journeys.

At the Lighthouse I am trusted to build relationships with our most senior clients and candidates. The unrivalled knowledge I have gained working with the team for almost seven years has enabled me to progress and take on a new role as an Account Director. My natural passion and curiosity for people and talent means I can authentically represent clients, companies and candidates whilst really connecting with each side on a very personal level to achieve the best possible partnerships.
