Ella Dolphin, the group commercial director at Hearst UK, has been appointed as the chief executive of Shortlist Media, the publisher of ShortList and Stylist.
In this role, she will report into incumbent CEO Mike Soutar who will become chairman of the company having led the business since its launch in 2007. Ella will be tasked with driving growth and diversification from the company’s portfolio of print and digital brands that also include Emerald Street and Mr Hyde.
Shortly after joining Hearst, Ella was promoted by CEO Anna Jones to the role of group commercial director with the task of developing new revenue streams across events, commercial content generation, contract publishing and licensing. Prior to this she held the roles of publisher at Bauer’s Grazia, group head of magazines at The Mail on Sunday and group head at the combined Mail Newspapers group.
